Choose LED fixtures with low wattage and high lumens-per-watt to minimize draw; look for listed amp or watt ratings so you can estimate run time with your RV battery capacity and consider adding a dimmer or motion sensor to extend battery life

Many RV interior lights are designed for DIY installation with basic wiring and mounting skills, using 12V connections and plug-in harnesses; complex upgrades that change wiring, add new circuits, or require cutting panels may warrant a professional electrician or RV technician

Look for dimmable LEDs, multi-color or tunable white models, and compatibility with low-voltage dimmer switches; for smart control, check for Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi capability and whether the product works with your preferred app or controller

Choose fixtures with solid housings and, for areas prone to humidity or splashes (kitchens, bathrooms), an IP rating or sealed design; vibration-resistant mounting and quality connectors help with durability on the road

Use warm white (2700–3000K) for relaxation and sleeping areas, neutral white (3000–4000K) for kitchens and living spaces, and cool white (4000–6000K) for precision tasks or work areas to improve visibility
