Hair sprays range from budget options under $25 to premium salon-priced formulas; higher price can reflect brand, specialty ingredients, or packaging but doesn't guarantee better performance — match formulation and hold level to your hair needs rather than price alone

Hold the can or bottle 8–12 inches away and spray in short bursts while moving across the area, layering light coats until you reach desired hold; for a softer finish, mist lightly and finish with a quick blast from further away or use a brush through hair to distribute product

Clarify weekly or as needed with a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup, follow with a hydrating conditioner or mask if hair feels dry, and avoid daily heavy-product layering by alternating lighter-hold formulas on non-styling days
