Allow 9–13 inches of clearance between the seat and the underside of the counter for comfortable legroom

Most residential barstools list weight capacities between 250–350 pounds; look for manufacturer specifications for the exact capacity and choose a higher-rated stool if you want extra durability or frequent heavy use
