Prices vary by type and brand: basic red dots and iron-sight replacements can be found in budget tiers under $50, midrange digital or feature-rich red dots and mini-holos typically fall between about $50 and $200, while higher-end holographic or magnified optics often exceed that range

Most sights offer windage and elevation adjustments with click values (commonly 1/2 to 1 MOA or larger); zeroing is done using those clicks or tool-adjustable turrets, though precision depends on build tolerances and may be coarser than firearm-grade optics

Keep lenses clean with a microfiber cloth and lens-safe cleaner, check and tighten mounts regularly, replace batteries before they fail, and store the sight in a padded case to prevent impact and dust ingress
