Consider what features you need—basic utility vests are less expensive, while modular, heavy-duty, or hydration-compatible vests are typically pricier

Remove all removable pouches, plates, and accessories, then brush off loose dirt. Spot-clean with mild soap and water or hand-wash on a gentle cycle if the manufacturer allows; air-dry away from direct heat.
