Measure the machine’s pad driver diameter and confirm compatibility with the pad’s center hole or hook-and-loop backing; common commercial sizes range from 13 to 20 inches, and attachment options include standard center-hole, drive-boss, and hook-and-loop systems

Commercial pads typically fall into a broad range depending on brand, size, and aggressiveness; budget options can be found under $50 while higher-performance or larger pads may cost more, with average prices in the general market around the mid-(price varies) range

Rinse and remove debris after each use, allow pads to dry flat, rotate pads to ensure even wear, and replace them when the abrasive or fiber structure is visibly worn or no longer effective. Avoid storing pads compressed or in direct sunlight

Some medium-abrasion pads can handle a range of light scrubbing and buffing tasks across resilient and finished floors, but for optimal results and to avoid damage, use task-specific pads—softer pads for polishing, and more aggressive pads for stripping or heavy soil removal
