Look for boxes with vents to prevent sogginess, secure locking tabs to prevent sliding, and flat sturdy bottoms for stable stacking; printed interiors or inserts can help with branding and portion separation

Store flat in a dry, cool area away from moisture and pest exposure, keep pallets off the floor, and avoid stacking heavy loads on top of stored boxes to prevent crushing and warping
