Keep knives sharp by sharpening or replacing them when performance drops, clean the base and chip ejection area after use, check and tighten screws regularly, and follow manufacturer lubrication and storage recommendations to prevent rust and wear

Wear eye and hearing protection, use push pads or hold the workpiece securely, disconnect power or remove battery before changing blades, avoid loose clothing or jewelry near moving parts, and ensure the workpiece is supported to prevent snagging
