Verify coil voltage and frequency, current draw, required wiring connector or DIN plug, mounting configuration, and whether you need an explosion-proof or waterproof enclosure; ensure the valve’s electrical specs match your control system or power supply

Port size and Cv determine flow capacity; higher Cv and larger ports allow greater flow at a given pressure drop, while maximum and minimum operating pressures dictate whether a direct-acting or pilot-operated valve is appropriate for reliable operation

Choose valve bodies in stainless steel for corrosive or sanitary applications, brass for general-purpose water and air, and plastics for light chemical compatibility; select seal materials like Viton, EPDM, or PTFE based on chemical resistance and temperature limits

Regularly inspect for leaks, debris, and coil heating; keep strainers/filters clean, verify correct voltage and duty cycle, and replace worn seals or coils promptly; follow manufacturer service intervals for lubricated or pilot systems
